When she’s not busy looking glamourous at various Royal events, Pippa Middleton is a keen athlete who already this year has ran a marathon and completed the London to Brighton bike ride. Although a clear fitness fanatic, Pippa also raises a lot of money for charity through her sporting activities. So how exactly does the pretty socialite keep herself trim and toned?
A keen runner, Pippa is often seen out running in London and has recently just completed her first marathon. Running is a great exercise that tones the whole body and is a great way to build stamina. In a recent interview with Hello! Magazine, Pippa said about the marathon ‘It was tough - tougher than anything I’d been faced with before and required every inch of my energy, stamina and stubbornness’.
Running is not the only sport that the brunette enjoys and like many other stars Pippa is a big fan of switching up her workouts.
Pippa also enjoys cycling and she recently completed the London to Brighton bike ride with her brother James Middleton where they were raising money for the British Heart Foundation. Similar to running, cycling is a great way of toning and improving your endurance levels. Although she can regularly be found dining out at London’s swankiest restaurants, Pippa also tries to maintain a healthy and balanced diet.
In the column she writes for Mind and Body magazine, Pippa said she believes you should have ‘everything in moderation’ and that when training for big races she will increase the amount of protein in her diet.
